DISTORT #58: This issue of Distort is about class warfare and cult hardcore.

These sounds sorted me out through this extended lockdown in Melbourne. The internet does not exist in the hardcore of the future. Bryony Beynon wrote a piece about Ian Bone and the origins of Class War in the UK. I also interviewed Prostate, Oily Boys, Perspex and Sam Ryser (Crazy Spirit / Dripper World).

DISTORT #51 and #52: released as three (?!) separate zines called Distort Melbourne, Distort Sydney and Distort Queensland. Melbourne was dedicated to artist and vocalist for Civic Jim McCullough. Sydney featured interviews with Orion, Royal Headache, Crime Spree, Nasho, Fatalitas, Bb & The Blips. Brisbane featured interviews with Comrad Xero, Pious Faults, Sex Drive, and an excerpt from a conversation between Lena Molnar & Andrew Mclennan.

 

DISTORT #49 and #50: Puce Mary’s first two albums Success and Persona (originally released on Posh Isolation). Mastered very loud & dubbed at Trapdoor Tapes and released by Distort for the Australian tour, with full colour card inlay.
